Coldplay

Mylo Xyloto is the fifth studio album by British alternative rock band Coldplay. The album was released worldwide on 24 October 2011 by EMI. It was preceded by the lead single, "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall", on 3 June 2011. "Paradise" was released as the second single three months later in September. Mylo Xyloto became their fifth album to debut at number one in the United Kingdom, selling 208,000 units in its first week.

Coldplay

Coldplay are an English alternative rock band formed in 1996 by lead vocalist Chris Martin and lead guitarist Jonny Buckland at University College London. After forming Pectoralz, Guy Berryman joined the group as a bassist and they changed their name to Starfish. Will Champion joined as a drummer, backing vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist, completing the line-up. Manager Phil Harvey is often considered an unofficial fifth member.The band renamed themselves "Coldplay" in 1998. "In My Place" was the first song recorded for "A Rush of Blood to the Head". The band released it as the album's lead single because it was the track that made them want to record a second album. According to Martin "one thing kept us going: recording 'In My Place'. Then other songs started coming."
