Grandaddy was an American indie rock band, formed in 1992 in Modesto, California. The band released several albums before splitting in 2006, with band members going on to solo careers and other projects.
The Sophtware Slump is their second studio album, released in 2000. It is seen by some as a concept album about problems concerning modern technology in society.
